Massage and Yoga for Health and Wholeness

Rabia Bellante is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Certified Yoga Alliance registered instructor with over 9 years of experience.  She also serves as a massage therapy instructor at Healthworks Institute, one of the few Nationally accredited massage schools recognized by the US Department of Education.

Using a combination of modalities, each session is customized to match a client's specific treatment goals.  Through technical application, massage can aid in injury rehabilitation; muscle recovery for athletes; increase overall relaxation; decrease body-mind stress; and serve as preventative health care for every individual.

Rabia is skilled at relieving the stress and symptoms associated with pregnancy, as well as nurturing the bond between mother and baby.  Offered on a quarterly basis at Birth Place, infant massage classes are geared toward teaching parents and caregivers skillful touch.  Massaging children when they are infants has proven to assist in parent/infant bonding, as well as promote healthful weight gain, muscle development, circulation, digestion/elimination, increased nutrient absorption, restful sleep, sleep patterning, and neurological development of the infant.  Infant Massage can also help to prevent/reduce acid reflux, colic, gas, and insomnia.

Yoga Classes are taught in the Vinyasa style, integrating breath techniques, pose flow, pose mythology, and yoga theory.
